Christian Höcht graduated in educational sciences, psychology and sociology at the University of Bamberg, Germany and is a scientist at the Department of Educational Sciences and Professional Development at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany.
He leads a regional group of usability professionals within the German Chapter of the UPA (Usability Professionals’ Association), http://www.gc-upa.de. He is also an active member of the national technical committee NI-Erg/UA5 within the German Institute for Standardization (DIN), http://www.ni.din.de/ni-erg, and thus involved in the international standardization process related to ergonomics for interactive systems.
In his research he focuses on ways of professional support for software engineers which have to comply with user requirements. His aim is to establish methods and techniques to assist developers in that way.
Christian Höcht is involved in the German research project “RISE” (Reuse In Software Engineering), http://www.rise-it.info, which provides systematic support for software engineers through reuse of successful methods, techniques and knowledge.
